Develop a sustainable process

We hope you will be able to prepare and publish your grants data on a regular basis, and keep improving the quality of your data. It’s worth trying to make your process as straightforward and streamlined as possible.

If you’ve set up your grants management system to export your 360Giving data, or have used one of our tailored Conversion Spreadsheets, the process for extracting, preparing and checking your data should be much faster the next time. 

Recording all the steps in your process will help a lot, especially if you only update your data once a year. It’s easy to forget what you did last time. 

Include a note of anyone that needs to check anything or sign something off, so that you can plan your updates for a time that they are available. 

If you can, link publishing your 360Giving data with existing data processes and cycles, for example when you prepare your annual report.
