Publisher Guidance

Step 3. Make a note of what you did

If you haven’t done so already, now is a great time to write down all the steps you took to publish your grants data. This will make it easier for next time, especially if there are any staff changes.

You should make a note of things like:

  • What data are you publishing, and where can it be found in your systems or files?
  • What was involved in getting the data into 360Giving format? Did you export data directly from your system, use one of our Conversion Spreadsheets or something else?
  • What checks and changes did you need to make to protect people’s privacy? Were there any other data protection concerns?
  • Who was involved in checking or signing off the data?
  • Where is your 360Giving data file hosted? Who has access to change or update the file?

We’ve created a Publisher Logbook to help you record the most important information for next time! We send a logbook to funders who register with the Helpdesk, but if you can’t find your copy contact Helpdesk via support@threesixtygiving.org to request one.
