Publisher Guidance
Publish
Before you start this stage, you should have a file of ‘valid’ 360Giving data that has been checked using the 360Giving Data Quality Checker. You should be confident that the data is accurate. You should have removed any personal or sensitive data, or got permission to include it.
If you have done all these things, well done! You’re nearly there. By the end of this stage, your grants data will have been published as 360Giving data, available alongside data from hundreds of other UK funders for everyone to explore in GrantNav.
Step 1. Look back at your plan
Pause, and check that you have everything you need ready to publish.
Step 2. Choose an open license
Publishing your data with an open license lets people know how they can use it.
Step 3. Decide where to host your data
Your data file must be stored online somewhere for people to view and download.
Step 4. Give us more details
Before you publish, it’s time to confirm a few key pieces of information.
Step 5. Publish your data
Once your data is hosted online with an open license, the final step is to share the link with us.
Step 6. What happens after publishing
What happens now, and what to do next.
Step 7. Set a date to update your data
Decide when you will update your data and set a date.
Publish checklist
Have you:
- Chosen which open license you will use?
- Saved your file of data somewhere online, with your license?
- Confirmed that you will be able to maintain a live link to the file online, so that we can continue to fetch the data into our tools?
- Sent us some more information, including your logo?
- Told us who your primary contact will be?
- Given us a contact address to use if a grantee requests a change to your published data?
- Submitted the link to your data file to our Data Quality Dashboard?
- Set a date for when you’ll next update your data?
