360Giving uniting with Funders Together
13 January 2026
360Giving is becoming part of Funders Together in a major step towards a stronger, more open and collaborative UK funding sector.
We are excited to announce that 360Giving is uniting with Funders Together in a major step towards a stronger, more open and collaborative UK funding sector.
Funders Together brings together London Funders, Collaboration Circle and the Place-Based Giving Resource Hub – and now 360Giving and UKGrantmaking – into a national cross-sector funding infrastructure body. Both Funders Together and 360Giving work across all funding sectors, including foundations, National Lottery Distributors, local and central government, companies, social investors and housing associations.
This is the next natural step in our relationship, building on the successful work we have already delivered together and the impact it has had so far. It gives us an opportunity to achieve even more at a time when our work has never been more needed.
We know how crucial collaboration is to creating genuine change and making progress on the issues that drive the missions of funders, and the organisations and communities they support. We also know how important it is for that collaboration to be built on a real understanding of the impact of their investments through sharing and analysing data.
By bringing our organisations together, we believe we can strengthen our collective impact – combining data, insight, research, networks and influence to better support civil society, improve funding practice, and contributing to policy and practice across the sector.
James Banks will continue as Chief Executive of Funders Together and 360Giving’s Chief Executive Tania Cohen will take on the role of Associate Director, supporting the transition and key projects such as UKGrantmaking, helping develop the overall approach for Funders Together.
The services and programmes currently provided will continue. London Funders will remain a dedicated platform, network and voice for funders committed to London, and 360Giving’s tools and support, including GrantNav and UKGrantmaking, will continue to develop and grow.
We would like to thank the Boards of Trustees of both 360Giving and Funders Together for the vision and oversight shown throughout this process so far. We would also like to thank the funders who have committed to continuing their support.
We are hugely excited about the next phase of the journey so that we can unlock greater impact across the sector and for the communities we serve.

FAQs
So, what is changing?
We have a transfer agreement in place that means 360Giving will become part of Funders Together on 1st February 2026. 360Giving will continue to run the services and programmes that we currently provide. Funding has been secured for three years.
Over the next few months we will integrate the team and work into Funders Together. Two board members from 360Giving are joining the board for Funders Together and other governance structures such as the 360Giving Data Standard Stewardship Committee will continue to operate as they currently do.
Why are you doing this now?
We saw a real opportunity to create more opportunities for organisations to come together and actively collaborate on ways to make a bigger impact, share ideas and perspectives and look at new approaches and ways of working, all fuelled by shared data and an understanding of what it tells us. We have been collaborating successfully for many years and it feels like a natural next step to come together in this way and make the most of bringing our collective expertise, insights and services under one roof.
What does this mean for the staff and leadership at each of the organisations?
We are continuing to provide our current programmes and services and will work closely with the teams to work out the most effective ways to integrate our processes and ways of working. It is early days for us and we will share more substantial plans later this summer.
In terms of leadership, James Banks will continue as the Chief Executive for Funders Together and Tania Cohen will take up the role of Associate Director, supporting the transition and seeing through key projects like UKGrantmaking, helping develop the overall approach for Funders Together.
What’s happening to the trustee board for 360Giving?
360Giving will be closing down as a legal entity over the coming months. Two trustees from 360Giving will join the Funders Together Board. One 360Giving trustee will continue to serve on the 360Giving Data Standard Stewardship Committee which will continue to operate and provide governance and oversight for the work.
What does this mean for me as a funder who publishes data?
There are no changes – the 360Giving helpdesk team will continue to deliver the high-quality support that you are used to, and the 360Giving tools and platforms will continue to be maintained and developed.
